The Felt Studio Gallery is a gorgeous space overlooking a lush bushland valley. An easy 30 minute drive from the Brisbane CBD. We’re 5 minutes from a range of cafes, galleries and artistic outlets in creative Samford.

Outside the studio you’ll overlook the garden, orchard, chickens and the bushland on our 5 acre property.

You are also welcome to step inside the working feltmaking studio and see where the magic happens. Arrange a day out in Samford starting with a small group feltmaking demonstration, custom designed for your group. Training DVD’s, wool and start-up packs are available for keen beginner feltmakers.

Inside you can immerse yourself in the experience of brilliant colour and discover the amazing feel and variety of Wendy’s unique textile art.

Textile art is artwork made to touched, and worn and loved or simply savoured as it hangs on your wall. It is wool. A beautiful natural , comforting, fibre like no other.

Be prepared to take home your favourite piece, (or wear it out the door) and of course, postage can be arranged.

Make a time to visit and be sure to make an appointment first. The Gallery is available to visit by appointment only. COVID safe protocols are in place.

Textile shop

Do you love textiles? Come and trawl through my collections of wool fibre and beautiful textile treasures that I have collected over the decades. This treasure trove will be housed in the Gallery and will be a work in progress, changing all the time.

Exhibitions

Plans are in the pipeline to host small bespoke exhibitions of works by my local textile artist friends. Do you know someone who may be interested? Call me.

I also have a special interest in developing exhibitions of textile work by young artists with special needs. Part of the big dream is creating opportunities for slowly paced small group workshops with these artists, culminating in an exhibition. There is a lot to dream about and that excites me.

Arty Soiree’s

I am loving the idea of evening  soiree’s at the gallery where we have poetry , music, good discussion and talk about art. Positive topics and guest speakers.
